I hate to leave a critical review, but I didn’t have a great manicure here. My regular esthetician is on mat leave so I thought I’d try out a new salon. Booked in for the ultimate manicure with regular polish. My nail tech was very nice but unfortunately the polish she applied was streaky on one hand (the other hand was fine). My cuticles were clipped unevenly and it does not look clean. It’s now been one day since the manicure and one nail has already chipped despite me trying to be careful. The extra massage that is a part of the ultimate manicure was weak. Maybe I had an off experience

Cute spot tucked away in the middle of coal harbour/downtown area offering hair, nails and waxing services. Came here with a girlfriend for pedicure based on the reviews. Very friendly service and they did a great job with scrubbing and exfoliation resulting in super smooth heels ready to take on the summer! Colour choices are not as diverse as other nail salons but it's harder to pick with more colours anyway. I went with a muted brownish burgundy colour and they did such a great job with the shellac prep that my nails still look PERFECT 2 weeks later with zero chip and lots of shine

I went for a pedicure today. It was my first time at the Salon Beauty Bar. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. Trina gave me one of the most meticulous pedicures that I have ever had. She listened when I gave her a heads up re: ticklish feet and really did a wonderful job of trying to minimized any of my discomfort. I will be returning to the salon for all my nail needs and will try other services that they provide. This was definitely a 5 star experience.

Anne is an absolute brow master! I moved over from Australia and went on the hunt for a brow lady. After a few failed attempts I found The Salon Beauty Bar. They used the same products at home so it was perfect, I didn’t think it could get better until Anne introduced me to Brow Henna. Let’s just say the brows are now always on point and tinted to perfection! Would 100% recommend her and The Salon Beauty Bar ❤️

Great nail technicians here. Good prices too. Ask for Trina when you come here. I always go to her for my nails. My nails needed some TLC. Great attention to detail and I spend the next few days getting distracted by my nails 😊 my nails normally last 4 weeks or more before they get too long for me and I'd have to cut them

Anne has done my brows and waxing for the last few years and I always love the results. The Salon itself has a really nice atmosphere and is always sparkling clean. You're welcomed like an old friend by everyone and made to feel at home. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my brows or waxing but Anne. I look forward to my Salon visits as I know she'll give me stunning brows and we'll spend the hour laughing away. I cannot recommend Anne and the Salon anymore. 5 stars from me!

My girlfriends and I had a great experience at The Salon Beauty Bar. Ang and the staff were awesome and accommodating. I got a Gel Manicure and it was probably the best one I've had to date. The pictures speak for themselves: perfectly rounded and perfectly painted. They had lots of selection for nail colours. My girlfriends all got manicures and pedicures, and they were happy with their results as well. I was visiting Vancouver and decided to get a manicure. This nice little salon was just a block away from my hotel. I walked in without an appointment and they very kindly got me in in about ten minutes. Mamiko was very sweet and did a beautiful job! This is one of the best manicures I have ever had. It's been six days and my nails are still perfect, even with just regular polish. Also very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

This place offers quality and meticulous service! I've only had the pleasure of coming once, so far. And watching Amy work so meticulously on my nails was impressive. She doesn't rush you on any step of the process and constantly checks in to see if you're happy with the shape length etc. I'm very happy with it here :)

Went here for a gel mani and could not be happier. Prices are reasonable and I can honestly say, it was one of the best, most meticulous manicures and gel applications I've ever gotten. It's the perfect shape and flawless color application--i can't believe how close my technician got to my cuticle while keeping the color completely neat and even just below. My nails are IMMACULATE! I came in from LA and have my regular nail salons there, but this place blew them out of the water. Everyone from the technician to the front desk were very welcoming and friendly. The gel polish they do here is seriously underrated, I usually go to different nail salons but have been going to the Salon Beauty Bar for the last four months. The nails consistently hold up against the daily life wear and tear - I haven't had a break since I started going here. I think it's partly due to how they use Bio Sculpture gel as the base and then Akztez on top. They also have been totally accommodating my nail art requests.

I was visiting Vancouver and was looking to replace my tired looking shellac. I made an appointment here based on Yelp reviews and and my friend joined too and they were able to accommodate us both. I got a shellac polish and it lasted FOUR WEEKS! It was amazing. No cracks or peeling like my usual shellac and the manicure itself was perfection. My manicurist was so detail oriented and did a wonderful job with the shape of my nail and reshaped several times to ensure that I liked it.

Often get my nails done here. Their bio gel is exceptional- lasts ages and I swear- the most meticulous nail techs around.
Also had my hair done (cut and blow wave). Was a good job.
They operate their salon well. As expected, pretty busy so you need to book- they aren't very accommodating if you have an emergency or need to book last minute so keep that in mind (even for regulars).

After initially getting my nails done I loved the way they turned out, however after 30 hours the shellac started to peel which was extremely disappointing after paying 120 for a mani/pedi. Don't mind paying as long as my nails stay for a couple weeks but it was disappointed having them peel especially while I was on vacation. Can't decide if I'll return and give this downtown location a second chance. If so I really hope next time I won't be over paying for nails that last a day.

Absolutely love this salon! I've paid roughly the same price, if not more, for a manicure or pedicure in Burnaby/Vancouver area and nothing compares to the quality, attention to detail, and perfection that this salon does!
Not only do they go above and beyond what is expected, the prices are so affordable for a Downtown location! They even offer you refreshments while you wait for your appointment, and are very accommodating and considerate.
So far, I've come in for a manicure and a pedicure (shellac) and I'm very happy with the results of both.

Had an amazing nap session while Helen's gentle hands worked their magic on my lashes. I absolutely love my natural and light feeling lash extensions! The room is private with a cozy bed, smells nice, very clean, with soft music and air circulating so it makes the experience so comfortable! Helen was very quick with the application! I was shocked!!! I have already booked in for a fill in a few weeks! I'm so excited for another nap in that bed! I will definitely refer all my friends and clients to Helen at the beauty bar!

Today I had mimiko(I hope I got that right) and WOW not only did this salon cater to me(rather then brush me off like others I had called) they went above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed and wanted and mimiko did such an Amazing job! I live downtown, and I've tried many of the nail salons, and blow bars that are within walking distance, and I have to say THE Salon is definitely a one stop shop for everything you need. I come here for nails, hair, and to even buy my hair products. The service here is amazing, and the salon is very well kept. They really maintain a high level of consistency & quality. I highly suggest making an appointment for all your needs. Walk in's are welcome, but appointments are definitely the way to go.
